Approximately 5% of gifts sent, receive a random check by customs in the country they are being sent to.
This is a completely normal process.
When this happens, customs may request more information on the shipment contents; and/or contact the person receiving the gift to ensure it’s going to a legitimate person and address; and/or hold the item for a standard period (usually approx. 5-7 working days).
If this happens we advise customers to handle the process appropriately which will be simple to follow.
Please keep this delay in mind if sending a gift overseas.

For customers sending items overseas as gifts, please note that due to customs regulations Australia The Gift is required to include a tax invoice on the parcel to avoid delays, additional charges or destruction of the parcel.
